The Woodcellar welcomes you to join us for another fantastic night with shredder Kevin Weissman and his band, the Howlers! KDog and The Howlers is a Denver based Americana, Rock, Rhythm & Blues Band, mixing favorites and their own compositions.
Bio:
The Denver based quartet KDog and The Howlers features veteran players Kevin Weissman (guitar & vocals), Jack Erwin (bass), Tim Molinaro (drums & percussion) and Chuck Lettes (pedal steel) – Playing Americana (Americana, Rock & Blues) - Something for everyone!
Their brand new album City Lights is receiving critical acclaim. Kevin Weissman has been performing in Colorado and surrounding region for many years, often stepping in to front a band in need of his unique ability to entertain and engage audiences.
He was a member of The Trubelos, sharing lead vocals, guitar, songwriting and arrangements - co-producing their album Tumbleweed Road.
In addition, Kevin has performed with artists as varied as David Lindley, Big Head Todd, The Kingston Trio, LeAnn Rimes and a host of other local and national acts, at such venues as Bluebird Theater, Herman’s Hideaway, Teikyo Loretto Heights Theater, The Fillmore, Boulder Creek Festival, Glenwood Springs Strawberry Days, Little Bear and numerous other festivals and concerts.
Jack Erwin A Colorado native, Jack Erwin started playing bass at the age of ten. Since then, he expanded his broad music taste far beyond the classic rock and metal of his teen band, Entity. he started playing the local Denver blues jams and fell in love with the blues and soul. Jack played with Dan Traynor and the Afrosippi Band with Erica Brown and Merrian Johnson. Jack jokes about how his small sausage fingers get in the way of his bass playing, but his friends and colleagues know otherwise. While comfortable being in the back line, his playing and personality bring him out front.
Tim (Chooch) Molinaro was born in Detroit., Since moving to Colorado, he has been the drummer for many Colorado based bands including The Jinns, The Affrosippi Band, Boa & the Constrictors, Sammy Dee Morton Band, Eef & the Blues Express, Kirby Verarde
and The Ricky Earl band.
He has shared the stage with Peter Frampton, Little Feat, Wanda Jackson, The Blasters, Dave Alvin and Tab Benoit.
Tim is also a professional Drum Tech for Roger Palm of ABBA, Joseph Zigaboo Modeliste of The Meters, and JR Robinson of Michael Jackson, Stevie Winwood and Peter Frampton.
Chuck Lettes is a master pedal steel player and a member of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. He has shared the stage with many touring artists including LeRoy VanDyke, Doug Kershaw, Asleep at the Wheel, Vince Gill, Johnny Lee, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. He was the staff steel guitarist for Denver’s longest running musical, “Always… Patsy Cline.”
